Here is a recently published post by a blogger friend of Peter’s. We had the good fortune to be able to meet her in Berlin and she writes about this meeting.
Actually, I did feel sick for 24 hours after having eaten some of these berries in Victoria Park.
You were not sick from the berries. You were exhausted from walking so much. The Kreuzberg is not easy to walk around on when one is a senior.
Wow, after reading Berlioz’ comment, I’d say that could be true – & I ADMIRE you for that huge walk. Way to go, Aunty Uta!
Of course it’s true, Noeleen, I was very exhausted. However to stay in bed for 24 hours and feeling nauseous all the time, I don’t think this was due to walking for a few hours during the morning. – - –
Actually you can read up on this particular plant, I think the information is in Wikipedia. This plant is highly poisonous. Only the berries are none poisonous! I imagine while picking the berries I may have accidentally touched some of the highly poisonous leaves!
Great reading Auntyuta, enjoyed his writing greatly, sounds like he has a job that he thoroughly enjoys

The woman behind the Kreuzberg blog is notmsparker. When you go to ‘HERE.S TO 2012′ you can find a link to her ‘About Page’. It was great to meet her in person!
Happy new year, Aunty Uta! Great to read you here again!
Wishing you a happy new year too, Mary-Ann!
