Yesterday afternoon I was not just exhausted but sick, truly sick. No idea what brought on this feeling of nausea, these terrible cramps in the bowels – – – No idea at all. Unless it had something to do with what I had been eating. This morning I still feel a bit weak and sleepy. At my age this can mean anything – – – I plan on taking a shower at one o’clock (pm) and then get dressed for our meeting at Ilse’s place. Peter wants to arrive at Ilse’s a bit before 3pm; that means we’ll leave the house at 2pm to go and catch the underground to Scharnweberstrasse.
I’m looking forward to meet Angie who arrived from Florida on Thursday already. Angie’s sister Monica unfortunately had to cancel her visit. Later on we’re going to have dinner at Daniel’s Restaurant with all of Ilse’s close family.
The Berlin Marathon is going to take place tomorrow. A lot of streets are cordoned off already. Will be difficult for Angie’s taxi to get through from Alexanderplatz.
Wishing & hoping you get better soon. Take care, Aunty Uta.
Ohhhhh noooo! Uta, I hope you are feeling better very soon. It can’t be very nice being ill while you are not at home and I hope it hasn’t spoiled things on your trip for you. Sending you my best wishes to get better soon xx
Actually, it was only a 24 hour thing. So glad I was able to rest enough to get better quickly. Today we left at 2 pm and came back at 11 pm. We had a great time with all the family. Luckily I didn’t feel sick again and enjoyed good food and drink.
Thank you very much for your concern, dear Noeleen and dear Pam.
I do hope you continue to feel better and enjoy all the wonderful plans you’ve made. It sounds like a wonderfully rich family and friend time! 🙂 Debra
Today, Sunday, I continued to feel well. It was great fun to do a city boat tour with Angie. We also had a lovely lunch with her and returned home by 3pm. We have plans for tomorrow with Angie, Ilse and Finn. On Tuesday Angie is flying back home to Florida.
Thanks very much, Debra, for commenting.
Uta
Get well soon, AuntyUta! Please take care of yourself!
Lucky me, didn’t stay sick for very long. Thanks for your good wishes, Inigo.
I’m so glad to hear that your illness was short-lived.
What a wonderful reunion you’re having. The boat tour sounds like fun.
Very lucky indeed that the illness was so short-lived. Such an enjoyable boat-tour too. I hope I can publish a few pictures soon. We took hundreds of pictures again!
Tomorrow we’ll do some preparations for our trip to München on Wednesday.
Thanks for visiting, Pat.
Glad you got better so quick Aunty Uta! Those stomach cramps can get pretty nasty 😐 Hate them.
Please continue enjoying your trip and taking thousands of photos!
Right, Munira. I am enjoying what’s coming my way after feeling so unwell for 24 hours. I assure you I usually take lots and lots of photos. Today we went with Angie for another very enjoyable walk, this time through the extensive park area close to where our apartment is. Later on we met Ilse and Finn. Angie invited all of us for a lovely lunch at our favourite Italian restaurant. I had left my camera at home. But Peter took some photos and is going to share them with me. There’s definitely no shortage of photos to choose from!
Thank you so much for commenting. Uta
Ein lieber Gruss zur Mitternacht wünsche dir morgen einen schönen Tag Grüsse dich lieb Gislinde.
Danke für deinen lieben Gruss, Gislinde. Wünsche dir auch einen guten Feiertag! Uta
Oh no! I hope you’re feeling better now!
Thank you, Anne, considering my and my husband’s age, we both coped amazingly well during our two months stay in Berlin.. We have a spell now in the country a bit north of Berlin with my brother and sister-in-law. Then back to Australia, home sweet home!
Glad to hear you were feeling better again so quickly!
Yes, I was extremely lucky.
