I love this quote. This is why I want to reblog it on my website. Thanks Pam!
Be Thankful

Liebe Gislinde, hab ein recht schönes Wochenende an der Ahr. Bei uns regnet es wieder sehr viel. Hoffentlich wird es am Wochenende etwas besser. Liebe Grüsse, Uta.
That’s something we should all keep in mind! Thanks for the reminder 😀
I reblogged this from the website of Mushy Cloud (Pam). It was a timely reminder for me too. Thanks, Cat, for commenting. 🙂
Most, or at least many people think having more is having more. It becomes an endless journey. Often the ‘more’ results in having less.
Thanks for commenting, Gerard. I think we all think at times that it would be good to have a bit more of certain things. With all that rain we’ve had now over a number of days I sometimes think I’d like to be able to go away on a little holiday to a beautiful sunny place!
But then I remind myself I ought to be thankful for all the holidays I have been having over the years plus some very beautiful outings here in the Illawarra where I live. I have it really pretty good. I am grateful, I really am. It is just when it rains a bit too much it can get somewhat depressing. But then after rain comes sunshine, right?
We usually have a lot of days with plenty of sunshine. I am grateful for this. In the long run I am grateful for some rainy days too. As far as money is concerned, I wouldn’t have any problems spending more if I had more. If I had less I’d have to learn all over again to make some spending cuts. I’ve done it in the past, I could do it again if I had too.
I am not rich, but still I am happy with what I do have. It’s much more than what I had in my growing up years and the early years of marriage. You say often the ‘more’ results in having less. I could apply this for instance to the space we have in our house. The more stuff is accumulated in the house the less space I have. Truly, if I have less stuff I can make much better use of the space that’s available and presumably it is then easier to keep track of all the things!
In this day and age of technology, and the race to succeed, your words have much wisdom Auntyuta.
Emu
Ah, Emu, I feel honoured that you should say so. They aren’t really my words, but I like them very much and would like to keep them in mind.
Have a great Sunday, dear Emu. What’s the Murray River like these days?
