Santa’s Mail Box, seen 45 Days before Christmas

I wonder what sort of mail Santa would receive. Walking for a bit through a major shopping centre today we became quickly aware that business for Christmas has already started. Festive decorations everywhere and the specialty shops exhibiting the most beautiful things for your home to celebrate the Christmas season.

For afternoon coffee we went to see Monika and Mark. Monika was in the process of finishing a lovely large fruit tart.

  1. Your family photos are so heartwarming – it’s great that you can all enjoy one another’s company and love. I fear that Santa’s mail mostly says “Please bring me …” and rarely says “Thank you for what you brought me last year”.

    1. Hi Cat! Thanks for your thoughts about Santa. If “Santa” is supposed to be a benign “holy” person, I would like to ask this person to work for peace and understanding, compassion and tolerance in this world. I think it is also fitting that he should bring joy into a child’s heart, not punishment and fear but also plant into a child’s heart the wish to be good. 🙂

  2. It’s too early for Christmas. But that is a cute Santa’s mailbox. Occasionally, when I worked as a letter carrier, I would come across letters in the mailbox for Santa Claus. They were always so cute…often illegible…but the idea was cute. At one time the Postal Service had a department dedicated to answer letters to Santa Claus. That was when the Postal Service wasn’t in debt up to it’s eyebrows. I suppose now most letters to Santa are the electronic version.

  3. Hi, Linda, I liked this mailbox very much and could not resist taking a picture of it.
Can’t wait till great-grandson Lucas is old enough to write a note to Santa by himself!
At the moment he is struggling to form some words. He’s trying very hard. We all agree that he’s dying to be able to communicate something with words. We already imagine that he’s going to be a good talker, just give him a bit of time. One thing is for sure, he’s growing up real fast! 🙂
