We need your help!

Calling all bloggers. Please repost this to reach more people.

I was watching this morning’s newscast and there are still hungry typhoon victims not reached by help.

Typhoon Yolanda left millions of people homeless, starving and worst, without a family. Please do something to help.

  3. Noeleen, Nelson is a .Filipino blogger friend. I reblogged the video from his site. Island Traveler, our Filipino blogger friend, put a lot about the disaster in his blog too.
I fear disasters like this might occur in future even more frequently in different parts of the world. Even Australia may be more vulnerable in future. We cannot take our good fortune for granted. Some people think if we try to reduce carbon emissions, it won’t make much difference. I have a different opinion on this. We can reduce emissions and still lead a comparable good life.
I think too so far we have been very fortunate.
    Have a great weekend, Noeleen.

  4. This has been all too heart-breaking to watch. It has been about 10 days and yet, many people have not been reached. It’s also the nature of the 7100 islands. The chronic lack of preparedness. Many more reasons. But this is no time to dwell on it. What’s important is to act. To save. To assist.

    1. I totally agree with this, Mary-Ann. I believe in the meantime some.help is reaching the disaster zones in the Philippines.. It seems because of the immense destruction on some of the islands, help could reach the survivors only slowly. It’s a pity that some people had to wait for help for more than a week. What a terrible tragedy!
