Yesterday morning (Thursday) it promised to be a hot day again. I actually was able to talk Peter into going to the pool with me. And he actually dared to go for a swim! This time he did not complain that the water was too cold.
I took a picture of him as he came out of the dressing shed. Then I asked him to take a picture of me. He obliged. I did sit on a bench as I had been waiting for him when he was changing. This picture that Peter took of me tells me that I definitely have to loose some weight!
However the swim yesterday morning was very enjoyable. We left early to go to the pool. By eight o’clock we were back home. At ten o’clock was the start of the funeral service for L, our neighbour, who had passed away last week. We made it in time to the funeral parlour. More than a hundred people turned up for the funeral. We did not stay for refreshments afterwards.

Well, a swim and a funeral. Never a dull moment in the family.
Right, Gerard, never a dull moment! 🙂
Yes it was hot yesterday, even down here in Tasmania. spending time at the pool seems like a sensible cool-off and start to the day.
I really liked to start the day like this, Elizabeth. Later on we went to the neighbour’s funeral. We thought that about 100 people had turned up for the service. The place was nearly filled to capacity, However we found out now, there were ‘only’ 80 people present. Still I think it shows the deceased’s popularity.
I’ll be happy with 80. We saw another excellent movie. It was ‘August Osage County’ with Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts. Even better than Philomena.
Your comment, Gerard, reminds me that there are a few good movies around that we still have to see. The last movie we saw was ‘The Book Thief’.’ This too was a very good movie.
Are you up to date with ‘Borgen’? The role of the Danish Prime Minister (Brigitte) I think is a superb role for a woman to play.
So schöne Bilder liebe Ute und so glücklich, ich wünsche dir ein schönes und gesundes glückliche Wochenende.Liebe Grüße von mir Gislinde
Thank you very much for the comment, liebe Gislinde, I think we are very lucky to have such a beautiful swimming pool very close to where we live! 🙂 Greetings from Uta.
