Auntie, Sister. Grandmother, Great-Grandmother,
Mother and Wife of German Descent
I've lived in Australia since 1959 together with my husband Peter. We have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. I started blogging because I wanted to publish some of my childhood memories. I am blogging now also some of my other memories. I like to publish some photos too as well as a little bit of a diary from the present time. Occasionally I publish a story with a bit of fiction in it. Peter, my husband, is publishing some of his stories under berlioz1935.wordpress.com

We are really blessed to live in an age of instant imagery.
A few months ago this laptop had been for a service. I only realized today that the scanning program was missing in the computer. Peter helped me to download it and voila, now I am able to scan some more of the old pictures. Yes Linda, it is wonderful that I can insert these pictures in an instant. 🙂
I enjoyed seeing these photos, Uta! I feel like 1987 was “just yesterday” sometimes until I look at photos of my own children from those years! I have boxes and boxes of photos that need scanning and I have no idea when I’ll get around to that, but I sure do need to preserve them. You inspire me to do so!
Most of our photos are in albums, Debra, but we have also quite a few in boxes. Once I get stuck into doing some scanning, I just want to go on and on doing it. It is a pity, that somehow one always seems to be running out of time. Well, once I start, I can at least do a little bit.
