Auntie, Sister. Grandmother, Great-Grandmother,
Mother and Wife of German Descent
I've lived in Australia since 1959 together with my husband Peter. We have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. I started blogging because I wanted to publish some of my childhood memories. I am blogging now also some of my other memories. I like to publish some photos too as well as a little bit of a diary from the present time. Occasionally I publish a story with a bit of fiction in it. Peter, my husband, is publishing some of his stories under berlioz1935.wordpress.com

There is absolutely no reason why we can’t make all the plastic we need out of biodegradable hemp. There’s no reason why it has to be made from petroleum. Henry Ford manufactured an auto body out of hemp in the 1940s. It was far stronger than steel – carbon fiber is always more durable than steel.
For sure, Stuart, to be using hemp as much as possible rather than petroleum, would be a good way to go. But I think to get rid of all the plastic that is there already and probably will still be produced for a bit more, it would be good to make it back into oil that can be used in some way. 🙂
