I've lived in Australia since 1959 together with my husband Peter. We have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. I started blogging because I wanted to publish some of my childhood memories. I am blogging now also some of my other memories. I like to publish some photos too as well as a little bit of a diary from the present time. Occasionally I publish a story with a bit of fiction in it. “Racial Hatred skyrocketed this year. Vaccinated People threatened by it will continue to wear the mask with the biggest sunglasses they can find to protect themselves from people, not COVID.” This is what it says under the yellow sign proclaiming what is a SAFE PLACE.
What is that with Racial Hatred? I mean, the threat of COVID is bad enough. Why do people have to get that feeling that they might get attacked by people on top of the threat of the virus!
Thanks for sharing this. I didn’t expect San Francisco and the Bay Area to be the top State with the most Racial Hate Crimes. There was a pregnant healthcare worker driving in Oakland with her husband, also a healthcare worker. When their car was on a stop. A stranger spit on her and shouted Asian Hate Racist Slurs. Could be the person she saved during this pandemic only to traumatized her. The Hero propaganda during the worst of covid for healthcare workers was sadly hypocritical. It was only meant for certain Races. Sad, but that’s our new world now. Stay safe.
Yea, this is so very sad. I hope eventually our new world is going to be a better world. People that are racists should be shamed!
It is sad. I try not to read the news lately as it’s mostly negative. We need more good news and positivity. Thanks
