Freedom
There’s still some freedom in my personal life, and this is good. So, I am determined to enjoy this bit of freedom as much as possible. I have the freedom to get up in the middle of the night and write something. Is this good? I bet it is good, it is more than good; it is what makes my life still worth living and enjoyable!
So, I am enjoying my life on this my very last leg. I try not to do anything that would make me unwell or injured, for above all I do not want to end up in a hospital again. Also, I try very hard not to end up in an age care home. The way they are run these days for the majority of people is a disgrace.
It may be vastly different, if you are super rich. But I happen to be not super rich. Still, I do have totally sufficient funds for a normal life. These funds of course cannot pay for all the extra care that I do need at this stage in my life. So I struggle and make do with as little care as possible. It gives me the feeling that I am still somwhat independent, which is good. I am on an age care package, which gives me every week three hours and 15 minutes home help plus a few extra funds when needed. All this is paid for by the government, so that I can stay at home and don’t need to go into an age care home. So far so good.
Am I strong enough to last like that into my nineties? We’ll see. In the meantime, my only aim is to liven it up as much as possible. This means, everything I do has to be somehow enjoyable. Why not? There is nothing wrong with enjoying what I am doing. I may sometimes take a few risks. But they are not stupid risks. I try avoiding stupid risks. I don’t think stupid risks would give me pleasure. I am usually capable to guide my feelings, even though I am very emotional. Most of the time my brain seems to work quite well to guide my feelings. I think it has always been this way. Of course with happy feelings sometimes may come very sad feelings. I am not complaining, without some sad feelings we wouldn’t know how good happy feelings are. One can’t always feel very sad, and one can’t always feel very happy either. But one can aim at enjoying life as much as possible. Yes, just looking at a flower can give me joy. Or going for a very, very slow walk in beautiful sunshine early in the morning: How good is that!

auntyuta This is very kind of you to say so, dear Joe. Yes, I try my best to keep up some good cheer. I think last night I was getting a bit of ‘Torschlußpanik’, thinking that it won’t be long and I’ll turn a horrible 90! So, I made myself get up in the middle of the night to do some writing, just to cheer me up! Yes, this bit of writing did cheer me up immensely. It made me realise, that being close to 90 is maybe not all that bad. I think I have to believe those people, who tell me, it can be good being 90. The best thing I can do is take one day at a time. Days spent just typing….
I think, dear Wendy, you give me a good example how daily typing may become very important in or lives. Thank you so much!
It’s the weekend and it’s raining. In fact it’s forecast to rain all weekend. I knew I mustn’t fall asleep, which I could have done quite easily if I’d tried. But no tired body and no tired brain at bed time would have meant a sleepless night and I really didn’t want that. So I had to find myself something practical to do inside.
Once upon a time, it would have been a DIY project – putting up shelves, decorating, knitting, sewing, making curtains…..the list was endless. There was nothing I wouldn’t try, simply because I didn’t have the money to pay anyone else. But also, I LOVED doing thing myself. That feeling of achievement when the finished project was staring you straight in the face and you could say “I did that”. Nothing quite like it, even if it wasn’t perfect, it was your extra drill hole or whatever🤣

I am sorry to say, that for quite some time now I did not get around to writing something in my diary. After such a long time it is difficult to know where to begin. Quite a lot has been happening in my private life as well as what has been going on publicly. As far as public life is concerned, I am always concerned with the truth. But really, what is the truth? What are people in public life lying about and what are they hiding? Some things are obvious lies. But do people care? Mostly the lies are not being dealt with in the mainstream media. Why do people trust the mainstream media? I don’t know.

Uta’s Diary Part Two
I am in good health. So, here is finally a bit of Diary from me again.
A little while ago I published already what I had written into my diary this morning. So, what did I do the last few weeks or so? I can say I did meet a lot of different people. Some people were the same I always do meet from time to time. But I also took the initiative to talk to some strangers. A few of these strangers were very interesting to talk to.
I cannot recall when I have last been out after sunset. Staying home by myself at nighttime is a significant part of my life. Of course I do not always want to be in the company of other people. But for sure I do not like to be every evening totally by myself. So, where is the balance? How can I achieve a balance?
Just looking after myself nearly always 24/7 and looking after a three bedroom…

The Dissolution of NATO May Be the Only Way to Prevent WWIII

The proxy war of the US vs. Russia in Ukraine could easily develop into World War III. The litany of dangerous weaponry presaging a direct, full-scale war between the U.S. and Russia is instructive: The most advanced tanks, F-16s, depleted uranium munitions, cluster bombs, and even discussion of “tactical” nuclear weapons are thrown into an already toxic admixture, always open to further miscalculation.
This is not to absolve Russia of the invasion. One cannot ignore the dialectic of conflict, which left unchecked, will lead to a greater disaster than has already befallen the people of Ukraine.
Key to this miasma is NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, whose principal European members are committed to a total war with Russia, but on the U.S.’ tab.
NATO military strategies have lacked cohesion and coherence and have led to stasis on the battlefield. Victory over Russia has occurred in the western media…
