Auntie, Sister. Grandmother, Great-Grandmother,
Mother and Wife of German Descent
I've lived in Australia since 1959 together with my husband Peter. We have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. I started blogging because I wanted to publish some of my childhood memories. I am blogging now also some of my other memories. I like to publish some photos too as well as a little bit of a diary from the present time. Occasionally I publish a story with a bit of fiction in it. Peter, my husband, is publishing some of his stories under berlioz1935.wordpress.com

Hey auntie!
I am thinking about your question what is better: anonymous posts or full names.
The rest of my family favours staying anonymous and even without fotos.
I favor not naming or showing people I cannot ask.
I think your memories of childhood in Hitler-Germany and your going to Australia are so interesting for everyone that you might as well use your real name.
You can also have a blog for only your family members.
You can give a password to the whole thing.
I think if you want to show your face do it.
Personal fotos make it very nice.
You reveal a lot of your family though and they might not like it.
But if you name them “husband” and “son” or “someone” I think it’s ok.
You can be remembered by more people than you really know/met.
And by blogging you can meet other people you never met who might have similar interests.
It’s such a coincidence that the theme you have used for your blog is the same as the one I decided to use (after a few that I wasn’t entirely happy with) for my ‘Days of Yore’ blog!
This is where I chronicle my parents recollections of their lives during the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s (as well as some more recent ones)
If you’d like to peruse that some day, here’s the link 🙂 http://munirazoom.wordpress.com/
Blogging is like riding the bike, it gets better as we practice more. I was clueless when I started 5 months ago but I got better as I read more , write more and learn from other bloggers. Personally , I prefer to be anonymous particularly with my wife and son but theres always a way to include their pics depending on how you angle your shot , as for name, I guess it also depends. A blogger can use his/her own name for various reasons /purpose but I’m not sure about mentioning family member’s name. I don’t think it works like facebook. Good luck and have fun blogging. The World awaits for you.

So this is how you started 🙂
I really, really love reading the beginings.
It’s a great winter so far, isn’t it? Sunshine & chill 🙂
Thanks for coming over here, Noeleen!
Friday, 31st May, was a mild, sunny day.
Saturday, however, it rained a lot, Sunday morning was very wet too.
It cleared up now, Sunday afternoon the sun came out a bit! 🙂
The month of June usually feels very cold. I try not to get chilled:
Different heaters in different rooms of the house when needed,
also extra warm clothes! 🙂
Have a great week ahead!
Also hello to Daniel!
