  1. That is SUCH a typical German dish, and must have brought back so many memories at every mouthful! But shouldn’t you have been drinking a Berliner Weissbier with it? 🙂

      1. Genehmigt!! That makes it the perfect accompaniment in that case. It’s all about nostalgia, isn’t it? AND the rote Grütze looks delicious too.

    1. Black pudding in German is ‘Blutwurst’. Boudin Noir (I looked it up), seems to be very similar. This kind of sausage is very spicy. I like it when its mixed with some barley.
