DIARY

I think my poor husband has enough for a while of me always editing and uploading pictures for new blogs. I finally managed to put a stop to inserting pictures about our recent trips, the trips when we went about in this rental car. I am happy now that the task is finished even though it was great fun doing it. Writing about where we had been and what we had experienced is really good for refreshing memories. And to look at all the pictures really does help to remember more and more.

Yes, Peter for sure doesn’t like me to spend too much time with the computer. He always urges me to do something else. Ah well, I think we’ve been doing a few other things recently besides spending time with the computer. And for beginning of next week three more trips are planned: Two to Sydney and one to Warrawong. But more about this some other time.

Wishing now everyone a very good weekend!

  1. I really enjoyed reading about your trip to the outback and all the lovely photos – thank you. Thank you to Peter, too, for letting you have the computer time πŸ˜€ Great that you could share all this with us.

  2. I enjoyed reading of your trip, Aunty Uta, but can easily imagine Peter would miss you if you were at the computer all the time.

Thank you while it lasted! πŸ™‚

    1. I always have trouble balancing the desire to fiddle with photos and to share with friends against the sheer joy of traveling ad seeing amazing sights. The computer is almost like a drug the way it pulls us to it.

  3. Dear Bloggers,
I thank all of you for your lovely responses to my diary notes!
Today, Sunday, I’m going to spend some quality time with my husband. It’s promising to be a lovely sunny day again here in the Illawarra of New South Wales, Australia. Sydney has had one of the warmest Aprils in recorded history. We just can’t accept that it’s nearly winter in Australia. We’re more or less still in summer mood. Only the nights are already very cold. Cheerio, auntyuta.

  4. Hi Auntyuta, sounds like its time for a break for you both, and I dont mean touring this great land of ours, your travels have been a pleasure to read as well as your great pics.
Relax and enjoy winter, its closing in earlier these nights, Ana is off to Chile on the 17th.
    Cheers

    1. Hi Ian, I tell you it’s pretty difficult to stay away from the computer! I’ll try to ration myself and do a few more other things rather than be with the computer for hours on end. Ana must be excited that she can soon see her family in Chile. Next Sunday Mother’s Day. I wish for Ana to have a lovely time on Sunday!
      Cheers, Auntyuta..

  5. I don’t know what I’d do for accurate memories without my many scrapbooks. For better or worse, they chronicle a portion of my life. Thanks again for sharing your photos and a glimpse of Australian life.

    1. Did you do any writing into your scrapbooks, Robert, or is it just pictures and articles? I am glad I could share some of the photos from our recent trip.

  6. Thanks for all the posting you’ve done. I feel like I’ve visited all these places because of the posts. I understand Peter’s feelings and appreciate his need to spend quality time with you. I look forward to your return if that should be in the cards.

    1. Thanks very much for your comments, Devon. As far as Peter’s concerned it’s definitely in the cards. I tried to stay away from the computer as much as possible for the last couple of days. A great effort is required on my part to do this. I plan on doing a bit more exercising, spending quality time in the kitchen, watching a biit better what I’m eating, reading more books — the list goes on!

  7. I get on the computer very early around 5:00 am. That way by 7:00 or 8:00 when Rick gets up, I’m done…except for “checking in” throughout the day…but the main work is done in the wee hours of the morning. After getting up at that hour for years to go to work, the early rising habit has stuck and translates into producing my blog. πŸ™‚

    1. Sounds perfect to me, Georgette, I love to get up early, my husband doesn’t. So it should work for us too. The question is how many hours of sleep do you need? Do you have a certain schedule for when you go to sleep?

      1. Generally, I go to bed around 9 or 10 giving me 7-8 hours of sleep. Thank goodness I don’t suffer from insomnia. I also, have to get up to give the cat his treats…meow…MEOW,..MeOW is my alarm clock. πŸ™‚

  8. That’s great, Nelson, that you liked sharing the trip with me. It makes me happy when I’m able to share a few photos with my blogger friends. I always love to see the photos of your dear son Inigo. They’re absolutely beautiful photos about his growing up years. It’s great to see kids this happy as they’re growing up.

    1. Lovely to hear from you, Sheila. I just had a look at all your lovely daffodils. It’s great that you enjoy the outdoors so much, observing all the time what’s going on in your surroundings. I can imagine you’re looking forward to some warm, sunny days. Summer can’t be far away from you now whereas here down under it’s getting more and more wintry.
Enjoy the warmer days and thanks for commenting. I’m glad you liked reading about my travels with hubby.
      Cheerio, Uta.
