This weekend is called ‘Queen’s Birthday Weekend’ here in Australia. This means tomorrow, Monday, is a public holiday.
We were lucky with the weather today. There was plenty of sunshine in the morning. So it was a good day to go out for lunch with our friends who picked us up from home at 10 o’clock. By 2 pm we were back at our place for afternoon coffee and some more talking. It’s always good to see some friends whom we have known for a long time.
Great post! I love the Tree Hugging 🙂
Thanks, Lyndzee. It’s such a beautiful tree. I loved it! 🙂
Great place to eat! Reminds me of some temples in Bangkok. How miss visiting there! I’m glad you are doing some blogging again. How you had a good weekend with your friends. And yes, like the comment above, ich liebe auch Bäume! The picture of you hugging the tree was precious!
Oh, Devon, this tree really looked very precious to me!
Looks like a very Zen place 🙂 Love the koi!
It’s a very beautiful place, Munira. We always love to go there for some relaxation. The picture of the koi (Goldfish) is one of Peter’s pictures. He took it just on our way out. I believe in summer beautiful Lotus flowers grow on this pond. This time we went with our friends to the Nan Tien Temple. They said they always wanted to go there again. They hadn’t been there in ages but loved it. The Temple’s “Dew Drop Inn” was the perfect venue for a little lunch for us on this sunny winter day. Peter and I had been to the Nan Tien Temple only a couple of weeks ago when we went up to that Gratitude Bell. We live very close to this temple but not every year we got around to visiting it. Just recently we seem to go there a bit more often. There are a lot of other beautiful places in our area. But this temple is really one of the best places to visit.
That food looks yummy and the restaurant looks really cool, too. I love that round cove or whatever you’d call it. I also love seeing you hug a tree! Thanks for sharing a splendid day with us.
Hi, Linda. Yes, we liked the vegetarian food in the “Dew Drop Inn”. It was a day well spent. The Nan Tien Temple is always worth a visit and our friends loved it too.
