It was a good weekend. We had the family visiting with little Lucas. And we received the great news, that in September Lucas is going to have a little sister or brother. How exciting this is for the whole family!
Caroline and Matthew arrived yesterday at lunchtime. This afternoon they left again to go back to Sydney. Yesterday we had Kartoffelsalat (Potato Salad) and Bouletten (Berlin Meat Patties) for lunch. Caroline did bring some cake which she had baked herself. Β We had this yesterday for afternoon coffee when Monika came with Mark as well as Troy and Ryan who did bring little Lucas along. Ebony, the newly expectant mum, had stayed at home to have a little bit of a rest.
This is what my plate looked like for lunch, yesterday, 9th February 2014
Caroline, Matthew, Peter and I went for a bit of Supper to the AGA (Australian German Austrian) Club.

Mother and Wife of German Descent
I've lived in Australia since 1959 together with my husband Peter. We have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. I started blogging because I wanted to publish some of my childhood memories. I am blogging now also some of my other memories. I like to publish some photos too as well as a little bit of a diary from the present time. Occasionally I publish a story with a bit of fiction in it. Peter, my husband, is publishing some of his stories under berlioz1935.wordpress.com

it was a very busy and happy weekend indeed. Time goes so quickly. Would you believe, during the whole of January we did not see Monika and her family, even though all of them live not very far away from us. They just lead very busy lives. But we can tell they like seeing us.
Looks to me soon February will be gone too!
We keep ourselves busy with something or other even if the family can’t see us that often. Towards the end of March our family is going to meet for lunch in Sydney. We are looking forward to this!
And for Easter our son from Melbourne and his family are going to stay with us. In the meantime we might get a chance to go up to Sydney for the day, maybe to see a special movie and to meet Caroline and Matthew there.
And so it goes. At our age we tend to get tired easily. However we try to keep up with as much as possible.
Thanks for your comment, dear Elizabeth. Hope all is well with you and your family. Love, Uta π
For sure, all our family loves great food and also laughter and talk. It’s always special when we can all be together.
Thank you very much, dear IT, for coming over to my site and commenting! π

This is a reblog from the 10th of February 2014. I wrote about it how we spent the weekend with cake, coffee and the family. I just love to be reminded how we had such a good time with family. And it is great to be able to look at all these pictures again!
You seem to lead a very busy and happy life

Thanks Ian. We are already speculating whether it’s going to be another boy or a girl. Lucas is such a sweetie! π
