I think people with some knowledge in mathematics would be interested in studying this report!

To give you an idea what this study is about, I give you here the heading to the 6 different sections:

Abstract

1   Introduction

2   Growth without Limitations

3    A Predator-Prey Model with Limitations in Prey Animal Population

4   A Minimal Human-Nature Dynamical Model with Economic Stratification

5   A short Look at the World3 Model

6   Conclusion

    1. I looked up in Google a post with the Heading: “Human and Nature Dynamics (HANDY) . . . .”

There is a summary in this post. This is an Extract from that summary:

“Collapses of even advanced civilizations have occurred many times in the past five thousand years,
and they were frequently followed by centuries of population and cultural decline and economic
regression. Although many di fferent causes have been off ered to explain individual collapses, it
is still necessary to develop a more general explanation. In this paper we attempt to build a
simple mathematical model to explore the essential dynamics of interaction between population
and natural resources. It allows for the two features that seem to appear across societies that have
collapsed: the stretching of resources due to strain placed on the ecological carrying capacity, and
the division of society into Elites (rich) and Commoners (poor). …..”

  1. This paper is actually going to be very useful to something that my husband has been working on – thanks for the link. Jenni

    1. Thanks, Jenni. I am glad if it turns out that this link has been useful. It is amazing what sort of information is available via Google, isn’t it?
Hope you are well, Jenni. Thanks for visiting! 🙂

      1. I know I just LOVE the internet. I mean I still like researching in the archives [librarian version of Indiana Jones] but following the trail of information from one link to the next and narrowing and then widening the search parameter – Ahh such a kick. I know, I am aware of how much of odd person that makes me sound but I’ve come to an understanding with my nerdiness in this regard.
