Today is Fathers Day here in Australia. I just want to give a short message via hotspot from Peter’s mobile phone. This use of the internet can become expensive. However next Friday, the 12th of September, we’ll be connected to the National Broadband Network (NBN), meaning we are then going to have a proper phone and internet connection. At the moment our landline phone is dead. We have been given an interim mobile phone that means any landline calls are being diverted to this interim phone.

Auntie, Sister. Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Mother and Wife of German Descent I've lived in Australia since 1959 together with my husband Peter. We have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. I started blogging because I wanted to publish some of my childhood memories. I am blogging now also some of my other memories. I like to publish some photos too as well as a little bit of a diary from the present time. Occasionally I publish a story with a bit of fiction in it. Peter, my husband, is publishing some of his stories under berlioz1935.wordpress.com View all posts by auntyuta

Hope you both have a happy, sunny day – but a special bit of spoiling for Peter.
Hope that Peter had a nice Father’s day. Our daughter took us out for a lunch at a pub. Helvi had a nice salmon steak and I had a New York steak done rare.
Greetings Uta,may your fathers day with Peter, have been a beautiful memorable occasion.
Ian
Sorry Auty Uta, we wouldn’t be connected ti the NBN. They will just repair the old land line.
Uta I do hope Peter had a wonderful Father’s Day . Nearly your connection time I see and things will improve for you.
Hugs

Yes, Sheila, we’ve just been re-connected this morning. Since we have our phone back, we also have a better internet connection again. What a relief! But Peter is right to get connected to the NBN is going to take a bit longer.
Fathers Day was very nice for Peter and for me too! Peter took a photo on that Sunday morning. I can publish this in my next post.
Thank you Catterel, Gerard. Aussie Ian and Sheila for all your good wishes. 🙂
Love, Uta and Peter
