A great video of the wedding is in the making.
During the course of the evening there were four courses served. Guests could get as many drinks as they liked. Later there was cake-cutting, a waltz for the bridal couple, and then started disco dancing. By 11 pm some people had left already, but others stayed till midnight! I think Peter and I. as well as Caroline and Matthew, were home a bit before midnight. Martin and Lauren and Kye stayed in a hotel in Wollongong. They indicated that they want to visit us at Christmastime. We are looking forward to this!
The wedding was a truly splendid occasion. Now the whole family is looking forward to next year’s planned overseas trip: About one dozen Australian family members are going to meet up with lots and lots of family members in Berlin!

Congrats, Aunty Uta! So, you had twins, and then one of your children had twins? Are these twins identical? It’s crazy how twins run in families. Identical twins are supposed to be random, but my boys are identical, and my grandmother had fraternal boy girl twins, and supposedly it skipped a generation, so I don’t know. Anyway, congrats.

I did not have any twins. Ryan and Troy are my daughter Monika’s twins. I do not know whether twins run in families. My husband’s father had a sister who had twin girls, my paternal grandmother had twins who lived only a few months and my mother’s brother had boy/girl twins.
Interestingly, one of Monika’s daughters recently got engaged to a man who is a twin! 🙂

My brother, but mainly his wife 😉 had twins. Their daughter had triplets and at one stage had four children below 2 years of age.

The wedding ceremony was liked by all too, especially with the couple’s two little boys being present! These kids were so cute! It was very emotional indeed.
On top of it I became quite emotional when I heard all these heartfelt speeches by the groom’s step-father, his twin-brother, the bride’s best friend and the groom himself. One of the groom’s friends was supposed to speak too, but just closed up. I suspect the emotions just overcame him. 🙂
