Five Years ago

Our 62nd Wedding Anniversary is coming up. Last year I published some pictures about our 56th Wedding Anniversary. So, when these pictures were taken, that was in 2012, namely six years ago!

Five years ago we had our 56th wedding anniversary. On that day we went up to the highlands for a visit to Bowral. Did I publish a blog from that anniversary? So even if I did, I cannot find it anymore. But in β€˜my pictures’ album I did find some photos. As I remember it, Peter and I had an excellent timeΒ  up in Bowral on the day of our anniversary . Looking at these old photos brings back memories. So here they are:

In the morning we had visited the Bradman Oval:

At the Bradman Centre there was a nice cafe where we had had some morning tea:

  1. Congratulations, Gerard and Helvi, on being married for more than 50 years!
At a recent wedding I think there weren’t any couples that had been married for more than 30 years. We were the great exception! Some of the couples were in their second marriage after having been divorced.

  2. HAPPY 65 to you and Peter!
You two are an inspiration to me!
My hubby and I have been married 42 years and a couple together for 45 years. πŸ™‚ Yes, I was a baby when we started dating. πŸ˜‰ πŸ™‚
    HUGS!!! πŸ™‚

    1. Carolyn, you started dating as a baby?!! Congratulations for lovingly being together still. I think the older you get the quicker the years pass by. We started dating more than 63 years ago. But I was already 20 at the time, really not so much a baby anymore! πŸ™‚
      Hugs from me too. πŸ™‚

      1. I was teasing you. πŸ™‚
        Thank you!
        Yes, the years pass quickly.
You have been with Peter longer than I’ve been alive. πŸ™‚
I wish you two many more years together! πŸ™‚
        (((HUGS)))

  3. 62 years! Wow, Uta, and congratulations! What a blessing! I am approaching my 47th anniversary, and if we are blessed to live long lives that allow for 62 years, I will be so grateful to God.

  4. Yes, it is going to be 62 years this month, Debra. Such long lives we have to call a blessing indeed. We wish you, dear Debra, a long life too together with your dear husband! πŸ™‚
