Auntie, Sister. Grandmother, Great-Grandmother,
Mother and Wife of German Descent
I've lived in Australia since 1959 together with my husband Peter. We have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. I started blogging because I wanted to publish some of my childhood memories. I am blogging now also some of my other memories. I like to publish some photos too as well as a little bit of a diary from the present time. Occasionally I publish a story with a bit of fiction in it. Peter, my husband, is publishing some of his stories under berlioz1935.wordpress.com

This is wonderful, Uta!
I always love hearing about people’s favorite books…especially the ones they read when they were children. Or books they read TO their children.
I buy books for my young-adult kids and my grandkids every Christmas.
Having been an early childhood educator and having taught Kindergarten and having taugh so many children to read…I love children’s books!
I even collect old readers/primers that they used to teach children to read in the days gone by. Some of the books I have are from the 1880’s and forward.
HUGS!!! 🙂
This is so interesting, Carolyn. Thank you so much for telling me all about your love of children’s books. 🙂
Hugs! Uta 🙂
