We have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. I started blogging because I wanted to publish some of my childhood memories. I am blogging now also some of my other memories. I like to publish some photos too as well as a little bit of a diary from the present time. Occasionally I publish a story with a bit of fiction in it. This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing it, Uta!
When I was 8 years old, my school teacher loved the song Waltzing Matilda. She taught it to the class and we sang it every morning while she played it on the piano.
She was not a very good teacher (long story) but I’m glad she taught us some good songs.
(((HUGS))) to you and Peter! How are you both doing?
Thanks, Carolyn, we just struggle on in slow motion. But life is really still quite good for us. Most things we can do by ourselves, even if we have to do everything very slowly.

“Eric Bogle (born 23 September 1944, Peebles, Scotland) is a folk singer-songwriter. He emigrated to Australia in 1969 and currently resides near Adelaide, South Australia. Several of his most famous songs tell of the futility or loss of war.”
There are different versions of Waltzing Matilda, some quite happy ones, others not so happy. But this song is loved by all Australians. Hope you are well, dear Carolyn.
Hugs from Uta and Peter 🙂
I have always loved this song. I wasn’t familiar with Eric Bogle but I would like to know him much better! Very nice!
🙂 Thanks, Debra.
