  1. I have several kalanchoe in my garden and my experience has been they’re nearly impossible to kill! LOL! So I’m confident you’ll have great success. I didn’t know the information about it being sent into space. That’s fascinating. 🙂

  2. It is great, Debra, that you have great success with this plant. 🙂

Here is what it says in the wikipedia:

“Kalanchoe /ˌkæləŋˈkoʊ.iː/ KAL-ən-KOH-ee,[2][3] also written Kalanchöe or Kalanchoë, is a genus of about 125 species of tropical, succulent flowering plants in the family Crassulaceae, mainly native to Madagascar and tropical Africa. Kalanchoe was one of the first plants to be sent into space, sent on a resupply to the Soviet Salyut 1 space stMartination in 1979.[4]. . .”

Martin says, because Benalla has frost in winter, the plant may have to be taken inside during cold winter nights. However, it is encouraging, Debra, that it seems to be quite forgiving, 🙂
