In a few weeks I am going to be 87. So, it is very likely, that sooner or later I am going to die anyway, isn’t it? I just hope that I can die at home and not in hospital. And I also hope, that my family can be amply prepared for my death.
I maintain ‘Social Distancing’ with each and everyone. I want to avoid to be vaccinated and hope, that this is possible. I mean, why should a very old person be afraid of dying?

I've lived in Australia since 1959 together with my husband Peter. We have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. I started blogging because I wanted to publish some of my childhood memories. I am blogging now also some of my other memories. I like to publish some photos too as well as a little bit of a diary from the present time. Occasionally I publish a story with a bit of fiction in it. Peter, my husband, is publishing some of his stories under berlioz1935.wordpress.com

Dear Uta, you are right. I hope you have plenty of quality time left, but applaud your attitude that an old person should not be afraid of death. You can still enjoy looking forward to your birthday and receive the love of your family and friends.
Thank you, Catterel. π
We are in Lockdown right now. But I am lucky, that some improvements to my house and backyard are being made right now, or are actually nearly finished. This is what I wrote to Freefall a few hours ago: . . . About a year ago we did get to know an extremely efficient trades person. When some money came to me after the death of one of my brothers, I tried to contact this tradie. It turned out, that he was booked out for the next few months. Eventually I contacted him again. Surprise, surprise, he was available this time. He, together with his apprentice, did now an excellent job in redesigning my backyard. They also did a good painting job inside the house. I am very happy with their work. π
