Dear Peter died on Saturday, the 12th of December 2020.
This year his anniversary is coming up on the 3rd Sunday of Advent!
Peter’s and my daughters were born on the following dates:
Monika, 5th of December 1958 in Dรผsseldorf, Germany
Caroline, 9th of December 1978 in Wollongong Hospital, NSW, Australia
We often celebrate Monika’s and Caroline’s birthdays together, choosing a date close to both birthdays. This year we have chosen to come together at my place on Sunday, the 12th of December! So several family members are going to come to my place for afternoon tea/coffee and some birthday cake next Sunday! ๐ I am very much looking forward to this!
Auntie, Sister. Grandmother, Great-Grandmother,
Mother and Wife of German Descent
I've lived in Australia since 1959 together with my husband Peter. We have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. I started blogging because I wanted to publish some of my childhood memories. I am blogging now also some of my other memories. I like to publish some photos too as well as a little bit of a diary from the present time. Occasionally I publish a story with a bit of fiction in it. Peter, my husband, is publishing some of his stories under berlioz1935.wordpress.com

This will be so lovely! You have many important December events!
I know you miss Peter greatly. But, I know he would be happy to know you will be celebrating…surrounded by love and joy! :-0
(((HUGS))) ๐
PS…In, December, my family has 9 events (birthdays and anniversaries)!!! Then add Christmas, etc.! ๐ฎ ๐ My oldest kiddo was born on the 13th. ๐
Yes, Carolyn, this is how it goes: Birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas. What an exciting month for family reunions! ๐ Just let’s stay safe from the virus. Peter always loved these large family get-togethers. Yes, in our thoughts he is still with us. But our lives must go on now without Peter.
Peter was always amazed, how much our family had grown here in Australia. ๐
Hugs all around, Uta ๐
What a wonderful way to gather family and to celebrate birthdays, while also bringing you all together in remembrance of your dear Peter. I’m so glad you shared with us, Uta. I’m glad you have a loving family to support you.
Just to add to the birthday list, my daughter’s birthday is Christmas Eve. When she was born the hospital put her in a Christmas stocking. ๐
Yes, we love it when so many of our family can come together for some celebrations! ๐
To know that my family is always there for me for any kind of support that I might need, is very comforting, for I do not find it easy to live completely on my own now.
Ha, ha, to put a baby in a Christmas stocking! This for sure is fixed in your memory. ๐
Dear Debra, wishing you a lot of joy this Christmas! Love, Uta ๐

A blessed, bitter-sweet celebration. But from what I know of you, there will be very little bitterness. Enjoy your family time together.
Yes, I am sure everyone is going to have a good time! ๐
