I think this blog gives you a lot to think about.

Dennis Meadows, one of the main authors of the Club of Rome’s The Limits to Growth, is an honorary member of the Club of Rome and a member of the World Economic Forum. If you thought his ideology had softened and become less anti-human since the publishing of his book, you’d be wrong.

If you ask me, I think mankind should go for a lower standard of living. He says:
“But we want to have freedom and we want to have a high standard of living so we’re going to have a billion people.”
It is a no, no to want to reduce the population of now 8 or 9 billion to 1 billion in a short period of time, just so the 1 billion that are left can have a bloody high standard of living!
The only thing that I would agree with, is, we should aim at having no more increases in population, but rather have a gradual slow down in populations. To aim at extremely rapid decreases means genocide, doesn’t it? To ‘create’ pandemics is definitely not the right wat to go. We should all be on the lookout not to follow people who are all for it, that we should have more and more huge pandemics.
