Tropical Greenhouse

DSCN4801DSCN4809The Main Tropical Greenhouse promised Tropical Plant Diversity. It was diversity all right in such a huge building, going upstairs and downstairs a lot. After that lovely walk we had through the gardens of course I didn’t want to miss out on this beautiful greenhouse to top it all. The greenhouses were truly magnificent, but gee, was I exhausted in the end. And thirty. What about some refreshments? There was an outside area were lots of people were sitting with drinks and cakes. We sat down too. To get refreshments. you had to queue up. Our friend volunteered to get something for us. I asked her to get me a beer, please, instead of coffee. This beer turned out to be the right kind of refreshment for me. I felt immensely refreshed after I drank it. 1. ‘Grosses Tropenhaus’. This was really a huge complex of tropical greenhouses. I would have loved to spend more time in it. But we had already taken this extensive outside walk through the gardens. In the end I was just too tired to see a real lot of the greenhouses. Actually Peter had taken some more photos in the ‘Tropenhaus’. But I had difficulty with inserting a few more. Anyhow, it’s good I was able to show some of the photos. I am glad you liked them, Debra. Thanks for commenting.

    1. Actually, there were so many interesting plants in that greenhouse. I think you’d need an extra day and still wouldn’t be able to see them all. But anyhow we did get a little bit of an idea what sort of things you’d be able to find there
The white flower – does look a bit creepy, doesn’t it?
      Thanks for commenting, Noeleen..

    1. They have to heat these Tropical Greenhouses all year round so that all these beautiful green tropical plants have warm enough temperatures plus a certain humidity to grow in.
In Berlin they have outside temperatures below freezing point.right now, because it’s winter there. But I bet in the Greenhouses it’s still nice warm and humid!
I quite like these luscious green plants too, Inigo. Thanks for commenting.
