This is a picture from my “Kinderzimmer” in Berlin in 1936. I am going to include this with other pictures in my EARLY CHILDHOOD page which is right next to my ABOUT page.

Auntie, Sister. Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Mother and Wife of German Descent I've lived in Australia since 1959 together with my husband Peter. We have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. I started blogging because I wanted to publish some of my childhood memories. I am blogging now also some of my other memories. I like to publish some photos too as well as a little bit of a diary from the present time. Occasionally I publish a story with a bit of fiction in it. photo’s can hold so many memories… this looks a wonderful one… x
Thanks
Sweet baby!
This picture is a memory trigger for me, Catt, because it reminds me of the ‘Kinderzimmer’ and the toys I used to have. I am sure I still had all the things in the picture when I was already quite a bit older. So I’m pretty sure I do remember all these things.
Adorable baby picture. A face that glows with so much joy and hope. Thanks for sharing this.
I must have enjoyed playing in my ‘Kinderzimmer’. It looks like I was playing with some wooden blocks when my Mum took this picture.
As I said there are already some more pictures in the EARLY CHILDHOOD page which is next to the ABOUT page.
I hope in future to be able to share many more of my childhood pictures. I am so lucky that my Mum took quite a few pictures in the 1930s and 1940s. Really a very long time ago!
Thanks very much for commenting, dear IT.
Your childhood photos capture a bygone era. You’re such a cuty in this one!
1936….the year my father was born.
Thanks, Munira, for liking this VERY OLD photo.
What a darling photo…how adorable. I like the idea of a childhood photo page! 🙂
Yes, I started with a few pics already. I hope I can soon add more.
It’s amazing that this picture is from 1936! You look so adorable!
Thanks, Inigo.
I’m glad you are able to scan this and commit it forever to the digital divide. Most old photos fade with time. This is too precious to lose.
Thanks Mary-Ann for commenting, With some of our photos the fading has indeed become a major problem. This is why I would like to scan as many photos as possible.
