Monika did bring Lucas along to our place yesterday (Sunday). We were very happy that Monika managed to make time for this afternoon visit.
Monika feeds Lucas some yoghurt with honey.
Monika took the top picture. Lucas gave her a big smile when she said “strawberry”. For some reason he finds this word very funny!

And here now are pictures of the shoes that Caroline and Matthew bought for themselves recently. They walked the other day all the way from Waverly (Eastern suburb of Sydney) to the city. Probably some five km. They said they can walk very well in these shoes. They’re very happy that they bought them.

I've lived in Australia since 1959 together with my husband Peter. We have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. I started blogging because I wanted to publish some of my childhood memories. I am blogging now also some of my other memories. I like to publish some photos too as well as a little bit of a diary from the present time. Occasionally I publish a story with a bit of fiction in it. I’ve had socks like that, but never shoes – great idea, allowing toe-wiggle-room! Isn’t Lucas a darling! So pleased you got to spend time with him and Monika.
Sunday is usually the only free day Monika has. Ebony, the mum of Lucas, is great in that she agrees to let Monika have Lucas for a few hours, whenever Monika can make time for it. For us it is a great chance to see Lucas when Monika can bring him around to our place for a bit. Yes, he is a darling. Such a joy in our old age! Thanks for commenting, Cat! 🙂
Great pic Auntyuta, they are so beautiful at that age, my little one is a veritable angel, its great when their little personalities start to emerge.

Hallo, liebe Gislinde! Der Kleine ist ja unser Urenkel. Es ist kaum anzunehmen, dass wir noch am Leben sind, wenn er erwachsen ist. Gegen meine Schmerzen nehme ich Panadol Osteo Tabletten. So geht es mir einigermassen gut. Ich habe jetzt einen Termin für einen Spezialisten. Die Wochen vergehen sehr schnell. Wünsche dir auch ein schönes Wochenende. Cheerio, Uta.

These are pretty cool shoes! I have some friends who swear by them. I wonder how they would be against something sharp.
