Auntie, Sister. Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Mother and Wife of German Descent I've lived in Australia since 1959 together with my husband Peter. We have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. I started blogging because I wanted to publish some of my childhood memories. I am blogging now also some of my other memories. I like to publish some photos too as well as a little bit of a diary from the present time. Occasionally I publish a story with a bit of fiction in it. Peter, my husband, is publishing some of his stories under berlioz1935.wordpress.com View all posts by auntyuta

Love these shots, Aunty. =) The water, esp.
Diana
Thanks, Diana. It was a glorious day when I took these pictures a bit over a month ago. I am glad I saved them. This site tells you so much about the history of the place. Just to sit there looking over the water is very calming! 🙂
Uta
On Sunday, 14th September, our daughter went with Peter and me to Centennial Park in Sydney. This is when I took all these pictures that you can see in the above blog. More pictures from that day are in this post:

A beautiful park Uta and great shots
Good to see the park is being maintained in a respectful conservation manner.
Ian
Yes, Ian, it is being maintained beautifully. I feel so lucky that I was able to take all these shots with my digital camera. I have learned how to crop pictures. But this is about it. I would not know how to do the settings in the camera. All the settings are being done automatically; it’s as simple as this. So even an amateur like me can take some shots for future reference. This I find absolutely marvellous! 🙂
Uta
It’s lovely and with its history it could have turned out very differently.
You are right, LG. 🙂
Looking after wetlands in such a beautiful way is quite an achievement.
It shows what can be done if you are willing to invest in the future.
