This weekend is a long weekend in Australia. It is the Queen’s Birthday Weekend. This means tomorrow, Monday, is going to be a public holiday.

This shop is in Sydney, not far from the Griffin Theatre. We went there yesterday for some ice-cream after the theatre matinee performance. We all love this ice-cream (gelato) very much!

Peter took this photo of the four of us in front of the theatre. It is great for me to be able to remember this day that we spent with our two daughters and a grand-daughter.
One daughter took the following photo of us waiting at a bus-stop:
When we were in Melbourne towards the end of last year we had an excellent dinner at this
Maylasian Food Restaurant:
We knew Messina Ice-Cream from Sydney and were happy to find that there was a MESSINA Ice-Cream shop also in Melbourne. We went there at night time. This photo shows how popular it is:
And on another night we went for Haxtaburgers at this place which is opposite from MESSINA’S:

We saw in the Griffin Theatre a psychological thriller. How do you cope with lies? How difficult can it be to find out the truth: This play makes you think about these things. Also how someone may come up with very strong feelings about revenge. Also quite amazing is that there can be a lack of guilt feeling in some people, but a kind of satisfaction in applying a form of justice! Ah well, all this can be rather frightening. It certainly makes for great drama.
Best wishes for a great Holiday tomorrow Uta.
Liked the look of that Malaysian restaurant.
Thank you, Ian. Yes they had great food at that Malaysian restaurant. How time flies! Nearly half a year has passed since we were there in Melbourne.
Wishing you and Ana a great Holiday too. 🙂
The ice cream looks delicious. It looks like you had a splendid time!
Oh, we always love to get some ice-cream from Messina’s, Robert. It’s the best. I am glad we had time to go there before we caught our train back home. Next Saturday we’re going to be off to Sydney again to see “Mother Courage” at the Belvoir Theatre.
Glad you had a wonderful time!
It was lovely that our daughters could spend the day with us in Sydney. Half a year ago we also had a wonderful time with family in Melbourne. I love our visits to Sydney but I also treasure the memories of our visits to Melbourne.
I hope you’re doing well, Devon Texas. Thanks for the visit! 🙂
