Does this sound, like a fictional story that could be of interest for some readers? What do you think? I would very much appreciate some input. 🙂
I thought, maybejust starting to write something fictional rather than blogging something straight from my life, would be a change in my writing pattern. If I am persevering in this new way of writing, you never know what good might become of it. Anyhow, it should be worth a try!
I know Victoria a little bit. This is why I want my fictional very old woman to be living in Victoria! Actually in Essendon, which is a part of Melbourne. I might call this old woman Marianne Kraft. Her birthplace is Leipzig, Germany. She did get married in Berlin, when she was 18 , and had her first child at 19. When she was pregnant with her first child, she and her husband Gunter emigrated to Australia. Gunter was Catholic. Mariannebecame a Catholic when shemarried Gunter. Their first two children were boys, and then they…

I don’t know, maybe this is not a subject that people would want to talk about much. Who on earth is interested in people’s very last stages of life?
“When the story begins, Marianne is already 81. Her husband died of cancer three years ago, when he was 82. Marianne is all on her own now. None of her children or grandchildren live very close to her. she feels often very lonely, even though she has quite a few friends, that she can keep in contact with. . . .”
Maybe I should not dwell so much on what life is like for Marianna when she’s already 81. Maybe what she was like in her younger years, is more interesting?
I think it IS interesting! Keep writing, Uta! Writing is good therapy!
You could write about all of Marianne’s life. Just one of many ways to go is to start out at her current age and flashback to stories/memories of her earlier years. ???
There are many ways to write her story.
I think writing a novel, or memoir, from a well-seasoned woman’s perspective…about her life, thoughts, lessons learned, joys, trials, etc. would be very interesting!
You can always write anything, and everything, you want to…then edit it afterwards.

Dear Carolyn, thank you heaps for this great comment, and for all your encouragement! 🙂
It certainly makes me want to write more. It is really good, to get some encouragement in this. So thank you very, very much! 🙂
Today I suffer from some nasty toochache. Luckily my daughter Caroline is able to take me tomorrow morning to see my dentist. She made an appointment for 9,45 AM. I hope my big top front tooth can still be saved. It feels like there is some nerve damage right now. This is why it is so very painful! –
HUGS from me too! 🙂
You’re welcome. 🙂 ❤️
I’m so sorry to hear about your tooth! 😦
I hope it will be fixed soon and you won’t be in pain anymore.

🙂
All good now, Carolyn. No more sore front tooth: This tooth had big holes in it and had to be extracted! I’m glad, it’s over. But very soon, some more dental work will have to be done with some other teeth. At least right now I do not have this awful pain anymore. I am so lucky, that my daughter could take me to this nearby very good dental service. 🙂
HUGS, Uta
I’m so glad the pain is gone. Mouth pain is so horrible.
