Towards evening Monika and Mark came to see us. It was the day of our Wedding Anniversary!
Martin had arrived at our place the previous night. He did arrive a bit late. He arrived at Moss Vale by coach because his train had been cancelled because of signal failure in extremely bad weather. Because some passengers arrived late at Moss Vale, the usual coach to go down Macquarie Pass had not been waiting. But a taxi to go down to the coast had been organised by the railway. Happy wedding anniversary, for both of you.
Ours is on the 30th of Nov, but we hardly ever remember it. We used to be astonished when a friend congratulated us. We are pretty hopeless on dates and very much rely on the magnets on the fridge and the appointments they hold. We also get reminders on the iPhone to say ‘yes’ to yet another appointment.
Thanks, and belatedly Happy Anniversary for you and Helvi too! π
A. Lovely occasion to remember. Congratulations on staying happily together for so long β€οΈπ
Thank you, Cat. To have lasted for so long is really something we cannot quite believe ourselves. The years went past very quickly. And we seem to enjoy each year a little bit more now because we are astonished that we are still there . . . .
Happy Anniversary!!! π
And what wonderful memories of last year!
I hope this year is wonderful, too!
And have a beautiful Christmas!
HUGS!!! π
Thank you, Carolyn! Yes, they are wonderful memories!
This Year Peter and I were by ourselves on our Wedding Anniversary. We spent the day in memory of our wedding 62 years ago. We did have no party on that day, but went with our two wedding witnesses for a simple lunch and then went to see two different movies. π
Well, today we had a brunch, and then we went to the GALA cinema where we saw Robert Redford in his last movie “The old man and the gun”, and straight after we saw the French movie ‘Colette’. π
In the evening at home we celebrated with some Henkel Sekt and some nice bread and cheese. π
HUGS!!! π
We are looking forward now to see lots and lots of family over Christmas. π
